About the Role

The Hutchins School is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our Pre-Kindergarten team on a fixed-term basis as Long Service Leave cover, commencing at the beginning of July 2026 through to the end of Term 3.

This exciting opportunity is based within our vibrant Early Learning Centre, where children aged three to four years engage in a rich play-based learning program that nurtures curiosity, creativity, inquiry and social connection.

Our Pre-Kindergarten consists of two classes within a shared learning environment, with educators working collaboratively to design engaging and developmentally appropriate learning experiences. The successful applicant will work collegially with fellow teachers, Educational Support Assistants and Early Learning Centre staff to support children’s learning and wellbeing.

The successful applicant will:

• Plan and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
• Create engaging and inclusive learning environments that promote exploration, creativity, problem solving and positive relationships
• Observe, assess and document children’s learning and development
• Build positive and respectful relationships with families and colleagues
• Contribute to learner conferences and written reports in line with Junior School timelines
• Participate actively in the professional life of the School
